That is something that I would wish for everyone in life. For a very long time I was worried that I didn’t have a passion. I knew people who were passionate about diving-so I tried it. I had some amazing experiences, diving with manta rays, hammerhead sharks…but it was not my passion.
I’ve met people who were passionate about traveling-so I’ve traveled to some of the most spectacular places, explored Petra, hiked the Cinque Terre, and climbed Kilimanjaro…I loved every minute of my adventures, but again, not my passion.

I became friends with people who were passionate about running-so I tried it. I’ve run 10k’s, half-marathons, a marathon, and soon an ultra-marathon…it is good for me, but definitely not my passion.
So I spent some time asking other people and myself, what is my passion? And the answer came back, and all this time it was right in front of me…my students. No matter the grade level, no matter the school or country, it always comes back to my students. I found my passion. For the last decade, it is why I do what I do and love every minute of it!
From the shores of Westport, Washington to the sois of Bangkok Thailand, I have had the privilege of working with amazing students who have made me laugh, learn, and live.
