Student Ambassador Program

In August, ISB MS routinely sees numbers of new students range from 60-100 each year. These numbers quickly made me realize that I would need help making these students feel welcome and find their way around. I created ISB MS’s first Student Ambassador program. Students are nominated by their peers, teachers, and self-referral to be a Student Ambassador. They participate in training programs and are asked to help with a variety of activities throughout the year (ushers at concerts, parent nights, etc) as well as having the chief responsibility of being a ‘buddy’ to an assigned new student. The Ambassadors are key players in the New Student Orientation as well as supporting their new buddies by participating in the New Student Getaways. We currently have over 50 Student Ambassadors in grades 6-8.
